All fitness levels are welcome. Training is tailored to individual abilities while encouraging steady growth. (If you smoke, please avoid smoking immediately before class.)
We are located in Huntsville, AL just off of University Drive near Sparkman Drive. In Japanese and Martial Arts culture, it is considered rude to show up at a dojo without an appointment. Please contact us before attending your first class, and we’ll provide precise directions.
Regular classes currently meet Monday/Wednesday/Thursday, 6:00–7:30 p.m., and Sunday, 3:00–4:30 p.m. First‑time visitors should arrive a few minutes early for orientation.
Enjoy a one‑week free trial on us, starting with your first class (whether you observe or participate). Afterward, tuition is a straightforward monthly fee—no long‑term contracts. We do offer discounts for students and military/LEO/First Responders. We have several options including: unlimited classes per month, one class per week, and multi-month packages, as well as “family” discounts.
Classes are co‑ed and open to anyone. We generally accept students aged 16 and older, though younger applicants may be considered individually. Parents or guardians are welcome to contact us with any questions.
There is also a Women’s Self-Defense class offered by Shihan Joshua Geckles on Sunday afternoons from 1pm – 2:30pm. Please contact us if you’re interested.
The best advice I can give you is to come check out a class for yourself! Aside from that, see our blog post on the subject! We encourage newcomers to participate and experience the art firsthand.
