Are you currently accepting new enrollments?
Short answer: yes, BUT space is limited! We currently have room for only a few more students. If you’d like to check us out — contact us before space fills up!
Do I need to be “in shape” to train here?
Nope — all levels of fitness and health are welcome. We will work to accommodate any physical limitations, while encouraging you to grow in the areas which you may struggle. If you smoke, please refrain from doing so immediately before class.
Where are you located?
We are located in Huntsville, AL just off of University Drive. Please contact us before attending, and we’ll provide precise directions.
When are classes?
Our normal class schedule is Monday-Thursday evenings 6pm-7:30pm, and Sundays from 3:00pm – 4:30pm. Please be sure to contact us before attending. If it is your first class, please arrive a few minutes early, if possible, so that we can help get you oriented.
How much does it cost?
We offer a 1-week free trial. This begins on your first class (whether watching or participating). After that, we have a very reasonable monthly rate, with NO CONTRACT.
Can I learn self-defense here?
Of course. We always welcome people who are looking for practical experience, as well as anyone simply wanting to study an art.
Is there a kid’s / women’s class?
Anyone is welcome to train in our community. We do not have separate classes based upon gender identity. We would be happy to address if you have any hesitations or concerns at all. Please feel free to contact us anytime. We do not have a kids class. Generally, students should be at least 16 years of age, though considerations can be made on a case-by-case basis. If you are the parent/guardian of a potential student under the age of 18, please contact us, and we would be happy to discuss in more detail.
What is Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu?
The best place to find this information is on our What is the Bujinkan page. In short, it is a living tradition consisting of 9 distinct Japanese martial schools. These schools trace back to battlefield-proven samurai schools, as well as ninpo schools. It is sure to be different than anything you’ve seen before!
I’ve never tried a martial art before, what can I expect?
The best impression I can give you is to check out our blog post on the subject! Aside from that, come check out a class! You’re welcome to come check out a class to decide if you’d like to come back and participate. We also encourage new people to jump right in!
