Are you currently accepting new enrollments?

Yes—enrollment is open, but space is limited. Contact us soon to reserve your spot before the roster fills.

Do I need to be “in shape” to train here?

All fitness levels are welcome. Training is tailored to individual abilities while encouraging steady growth. (If you smoke, please avoid smoking immediately before class.)

Where are you located?

We are located in Huntsville, AL just off of University Drive near Sparkman Drive. In Japanese and Martial Arts culture, it is considered rude to show up at a dojo without an appointment. Please contact us before attending your first class, and we’ll provide precise directions.

When are classes?

Regular classes currently meet Monday/Wednesday/Thursday, 6:00–7:30 p.m., and Sunday, 3:00–4:30 p.m. First‑time visitors should arrive a few minutes early for orientation.

How much does it cost?

Enjoy a one‑week free trial starting with your first class (whether you observe or participate). Afterward, tuition is a straightforward monthly fee—no long‑term contracts. We do offer discounts for students and military/LEO/First Responders.

Can I learn self-defense here?

Absolutely. Our curriculum emphasizes real‑world application alongside the study of traditional technique and form.

Is there a kids’ / womens’ class?

Classes are co‑ed and open to anyone. We generally accept students aged 16 and older, though younger applicants may be considered individually. Parents or guardians are welcome to contact us with any questions.

We DO, also offer a Women’s Self-Defense class, on Sunday from 1:00pm – 2:30pm, taught by our own Joshua Geckles Shihan.

What is Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu?

The best place to find this information is on our What is the Bujinkan page. In short, it is a living tradition consisting of 9 distinct Japanese martial schools. These schools trace back to battlefield-proven samurai schools, as well as ninpo schools. It is sure to be different than anything you’ve seen before!

I’ve never tried a martial art before, what can I expect?

The best advice I can give you is to check out our blog post on the subject! Aside from that, come check out a class! We encourage newcomers to participate and experience the art firsthand.
